Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy (born April 16th 1996) was born in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor was a former banker. Jennifer Marina Joy worked as a Psychotherapist. Her father was an Argentine with Scottish as well as English roots. Her mother is Spanish-English. Four of her siblings belong to her father's previous marriage. After being with her parents in Buenos Aires for six years The family moved to Victoria. Taylor-Joy says the move to London was traumatizing and that she didn't take the time to learn English in order to prevent returning to Argentina. Hill House became her school preference after she was required to switch schools. She then went to Queen's Gate School in London, where she took ballet classes and participated in the drama department. She dropped out of the high school aged 16 in order to concentrate on her acting profession. Taylor-Joy was born to be an actor from a young age. The realization of her dreams came when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling job.
